On the 21st of May 2022 Round Table Ficksburg 98 with the help of the
owners of Happy Days Adventures Mr. Dexter and Steve Roth hosted a
Funduro at the Happy Days Farm. This being a Fundero and not a standard
motorbike or quad event, there was no air of competition or rivalry on the
day, only a group of good people who like to have good fun on great bikes.
The venue for the day was set in the picturesque mountains between
Ficksburg and Fouriesburg and with the work that the Roth family has put in
it makes for a truly marvelous view. Located on their premises is a vintage
motorbike museum as well as a fully-fledged bar and viewing area that
makes the perfect spot for sundowners. The day kicked off with riders facing
a very muddy and technical track with great fellowship being shown among
them as when one rider got stuck several others would stop to help. As the
day progressed and the racing was done, the spectators and riders moved
towards the bar where the tablers and their wives from RT98 were more than
willing to help them quench their thirst. A special thanks go out to Mr. Gert
Swart from Ficksburg Super Spar for always being willing to help out RT 98
where ever he can as well as to the Roth family for allowing us to make use
of their stunning venue. As far as a day goes I personally don’t think we could
have asked for more, from seeing fellowship on the track, old friends
laughing next to the fire, or hearing tales from a forgotten age of motorcycle
racing the day was a complete success
