Round table 40 had the privilege to raid Round Table 98 on the 18 th and 19 th of November 2022 on their
annual ‘Kersiefees’ event which is a well known event in the Free State Area.

Our Chairman Stephan Theunissen and fellow tabler Shaun Stevens were present at the event which was
held in Finksburg to assist in the bar to raise funds. To our surprise, we were also given the opportunity
to participate in activities such as driving a steam locomotive and other various army vehicles which is
owned by the farm owner as his private collection all just for the visitor’s enjoyment
Afterward we all gathered at the local golf club where another event was held and the opportunity
arose for tablers to meet 2 South African rugby representatives/players (Frans Steyn and Ruan
Pienaar). Lastly, we want to thank Phillipe Fouche for his hospitality in letting RT40 representatives live
on his outstanding and breath-taking farmhouse just outside Ficksburg which was a perfect getaway for
the weekend.
