If there is one thing that has always been close to the hearts of Welkom Tablers, it is to be able to hand out food parcels.
Over the years, one of our more successful of these projects has been the R5 project. It has helped to keep our food
cupboard full and has enabled us to help quickly when the need arises.
So, on the 3 rd of December, we got into our bakkies and drove to OD. The owners of Pick ‘n Pay OD has been staunch
supporters of Welkom 40 for many years and has once again agreed to let us host the R5 project in front of their store.
We collected two and a half trolleys in just over 2 hours of work. This made sure that we could help in our community when
the need arose.
